St. James' Episcopal School
The School Psychologist will report to the Head of School and serve as a member of the senior administrative team and serve on the equity team. She/he will lead the child study team at St. James’, the group responsible for managing the socio-emotional needs of our students. The School Psychologist will provide counsel and consult with teachers and also be available to provide referrals to families. The school psychologist will also serve on the faculty of the Teaching & Learning Institute, leading instruction for families in building socio-emotionally healthy environments for children.
The qualifications for this position are a doctorate or graduate degree in psychology. Candidates should have experience and training in managing and supporting the emotional needs of elementary school age children. Must have excellent cultural competencies and be comfortable, confident and successful in both written and verbal communication.
