Varsity Volleyball Coach
This position will be the leader of the volleyball program and coaching the most competitive team of Grades 6-8 girls. The Varsity Coach will have a strong knowledge of the game, can implement skill development, and will help players understand strategies for the game. Hamlin values both competition and a love of the game, and the Varsity Coach would model this approach toward coaching. Prior coaching experience with this age group is required and playing experience in preferred.
Season: Late August – Early November
Pre-Season Clinic: August 19 – August 23
Team Placements: August 26-29 from 3:30-5:00
Practice Days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
Practice Times: 3:30-5:00
Game Schedule: We play in the BAIAL (www.baial.net) with a 7 game season plus playoffs. No weekend games.
Stipend: $2,600-$2,900 depending on experience
JV Volleyball Coach
This position will be essential to the growth of the program and coaching Grades 6-8 girls. The JV Coach will have a foundational knowledge of the game, can teach fundamentals, and will will work closely with the Varsity coach in order to teach the strategies needed to develop their players to be varsity players in the future. This coach needs to be fundamentally sound and excited to work with players to develop them for more competitive play. Prior coaching experience with this age group is preferred.
Season: Late August – Early November

Practice Days: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday

Stipend: $2,400-$2,600 depending on experience
Volleyball Skills Team Coach
This position will be focused on the fundamental skill development of players in Grades 7-8 who are new to the game or interested in building their skills in a less competitive team environment. This coach needs to be enthusiastic and possess a solid understanding of the basics skills of volleyball (passing, serving, setting, etc.). Prior coaching experience is preferred.
Season: Late August – Early November
Pre-Season Clinic: August 19 – August 23
Team Placements: August 26-29 from 3:30-5:00
Practice Days: Monday/Wednesday
Practice Times: 3:30-5:00
Game Schedule: We will be scheduling inter-school scrimmages and games with other schools.
Stipend: $1,600-$1,900 depending on experience
Grade 6 Red Volleyball Coach and Grade 6 Gold Volleyball Coach
These two coaches may work independently or collaborate with each other. This position will be focused on the fundamental skill development of players while preparing them with the skills and strategies needed to play at the JV or Varsity level in the future. This coach needs to possess a solid understanding of the basics skills of volleyball (passing, serving, setting, etc.) and be able to manage equal playing time for all players. Prior playing experience is required and prior coaching experience is preferred.
Season: September 4 – Early November
Practice Days: Monday/Wednesday
Practice Times: 3:30-5:00
Game Schedule: We play in the BAIAL (www.baial.net) with a 7 game season plus playoffs. No weekend games.
Stipend: $1,900
Grade 5 Red Volleyball Coach and Grade 5 Gold Volleyball Coach
These two coaches may work independently or collaborate with each other. The Grade 5 Volleyball coaching positions will be focused on the fundamental skill development of players new to the game. This coach needs to possess a solid understanding of the basics skills of volleyball (passing, serving, setting, etc.) and be able to manage equal playing time for all players. Prior playing experience is required and prior coaching experience is preferred.

Varsity Cross Country Coach
The Varsity Cross Country team is coached by two coaches, either as co-coaches or as head and assistant coaches. These coaches should to be able to run effective cross-country practices to build skill and abilities of all competitive runners in Grades 6-8 in while teaching rules and good teamwork. They must have knowledge of cross-country, running strategies, and proper training methods. These coaches must be able to demonstrate and understand the techniques being taught and should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills necessary to work with other coaches, administration, parents and student-athletes. Prior running experience is required and prior coaching experience is preferred.
Season: Early September – Early November
Team Placement: August 26 and August 27
Practice Days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
Practice Times: 3:30-5:00
Game Schedule: Cross-country meets will be scheduled during the season.
Stipend: $2,500-$2,800 depending on experience
Running Club Coach
Running club is led by two people, and can be led for one season or for fall, winter and spring seasons. This position will support our Running Club program, which is a non-competitive, running option for girls in grades 5-8. Running club leaders will encourage young girls to think of running as a fun way to be active. Prior experience working with this age group is preferred.
