Position Description:
The Athenian School is a distinctive independent school that prepares its students for college and for lives of meaning and purpose. Key Responsibilities:
Teaching 2 sections of US literature and 4 literature seminars: 2 sections of Science Fiction & 2 sections of Comedy
Participate in 10th grade level and literature core team meetings

Core Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
Demonstrated excellence in high school level instruction in the Humanities
Demonstrated ability to integrate technology in content delivery/skill development
Experience with project-based learning
Demonstrated commitment to the Athenian School’s ideals: Education for democracy, equity and inclusion, community service, multiculturalism, and environmental stewardship
Growth mindset, flexibility, comfort with quick pace of change and openness to collaboration and experimentation
Openness to feedback and improvement, modeling lifelong learning of practice as well as subject area
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced University degree
Experience working in a boarding school with an international student population.
