Practicing Together: Navigating Proactive and Responsive Conversations about the N-Word and Other Slurs,
San Francisco Schoolhouse’s Head of School Carol Swainson will use excerpts from her up and coming film along with DEI Consultant Jen Cort who will also share concepts from her up and coming book to facilitate learning and practice for participants.
In this workshop participants will: (i) further comprehend and the deep seated nature of racism and supremacy in American culture, (ii) practice strategies to prevent, identify, and respond to racialized situations (with a special focus on the use of the N-word).
