Bishop O’Dowd High School is seeking excellent candidates for the Associate Director of Admissions position. The Associate Director of Admissions oversees the efficient and effective organization and administration of the Bishop O’Dowd High School Office of Admissions and reports to the Director of Admissions.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Maintain efficient and effective organization of the Admissions Office.
Maintain all aspects of the admissions database and management system (Google docs, School Admin, Filemaker).
Order O’Dowd marketing material and assemble student packets and bags.
Available early mornings and occasional weekends for event set-up and coordination.
Event set-up and coordination for Open House, HSPT, admissions events, tours, school visits and student visits.
Excellent customer service skills to assist in follow-up via phone and email to all families interested in applying to Bishop O’Dowd.
Coordinate Parent Ambassador program and organize parent support for all Admissions events.
Assist in maintaining meticulous online student files for the purpose of review, reference and final records for counseling.
Coordinate all mailings (electronic and regular mail).
Assist in enrollment activities for new students.
Strong proficiency in verbal and written skills.
Execute special projects as assigned by the Director of Enrollment and Admissions.
Superb communication and customer service skills.
Ability to take initiative and handle any and all situations that may arise daily as it relates to admissions.

 

Qualifications

A minimum of three years’ experience in a similar administrative support position or an equivalent school administrative position.
BA is strongly preferred but not required.
Demonstrated high degree of integrity and confidentiality.
Spanish speaking is preferred but not required.
Superior organizational and customer service skills.
Problem solver, flexible and strong interpersonal skills.
A clear commitment to the mission of Bishop O’Dowd High School.
Must be skilled in Google Docs, Microsoft Office applications including MS Word, Excel and Outlook; proficiency with Filemaker.  Experience with SchoolAdmin or other Student Information System preferred.
Excellent written and verbal skills.
Self-starter and the capabilities and desire to contribute to all facets of the admissions office.
