Introduction
Quest Forward Academy (www.questforward.academy) is a new kind of high school located in Santa Rosa, California. Taking a student-centric, project-based approach to learning, we seek to instill in our students the mindset, habits, and skills that will prepare them for success in future learning, in career, and in life itself.
We are seeking teachers who see themselves as mentors, dedicated to student personal growth, and wishing to serve as joyful facilitators of student-driven inquiry. Quest Forward Academy seeks to innovate across the learning journey from schedule, to calendar, to the nature of activity within the classroom. High School Full-time ART teacher for remainder of February to June 1, 2022, with possibility of full-time contracted after initial period.
The ideal candidates will have:
Teaching experience in grades 9-12
Minimum of Bachelor’s degree
Experience in non-traditional classroom environments
Experience with project-based and problem-based learning
Facility and comfort with technology
Willingness to experiment and try new methods and approaches
Candidates with experience or training in more than one subject and an ability to teach in multiple subjects are highly desirable. Ability to speak Spanish is also desirable but not required. We are interested in both seasoned teaching professionals looking for something new and early education career individuals looking to join something new and exciting. We are accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. A free daily lunch Monday to Thursdays is included.
