The Carey School seeks a dedicated, creative, and experienced Technology Support Specialist who will work closely with the Director of Technology and the Technology Integration Specialist to support and maintain the technology infrastructure of The Carey School, providing audio/visual and help desk support to faculty, staff, and students. The Technology Support Specialist monitors and maintains the school’s computer systems, installs and configures hardware and software, and solves technical problems. The Technology Support Specialist will possess excellent written and verbal communication.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Excellent Customer Service
- Utilize helpdesk ticketing system and provide end-user support for faculty, staff, and students
- MDM support, including troubleshooting, repairing, and application distribution to devices
- Support and maintain computer systems, including evaluating hardware and software for classrooms and administrative needs
- Maintain the health and operations of the school’s network and support infrastructure (WAPs, ATVs, Printers, A/V devices, VOIP phone)
- Provide effective communication and serve as a resource/tech support to faculty/staff regarding the technology used at the school
- Maintain technical documentation regarding hardware and software applications.
- GSuite administration and maintenance
- Administer and maintain Sophos Anit-Virus solution
- SIS and website administration and maintenance
- Work with Director on ordering devices, software, and technology for faculty and staff, as needed
- Collaborate with the Director of Technology on policies and procedures
- Maintain a presence by attending special events throughout the year
- Responsible for acquiring, maintaining, and expanding knowledge of relevant products
Qualifications
A minimum 1-3 years of experience in technology hardware/software support. Willing to be a team player who can effectively manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift/move 10 lbs. and occasionally lift/move 30 lbs
