Overview of school:
Seven Hills School, founded in 1962, offers an outstanding PS-8th grade program for approximately 420 students. The beautiful campus is located on 9 acres of former ranch land near Heather Farm Park in Walnut Creek, CA (approximately 35 miles from downtown San Francisco), and offers students and teachers the daily opportunity to move freely from engaging classrooms to expanses of outdoor space. The school is committed to building an inclusive community with class sizes that allow for greater differentiation, building strong partnerships with parents, and employing passionate teachers who love what they do and bring creativity and innovation to their teaching practice. Overview of duties and responsibilities:
- Maintains the accounting system
- Face of the Business Office; first point of “customer” contact for parents and employees
- General ledger posting and Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Student billing, accounts receivable
- Accounts payable and Corporate Card Management
- Management of Fixed Assets and Depreciation
- Monthly bank account reconciliations
- Responsible for monthly close process, interfund and intransit account reconciliations
- Payroll Reconciliation
- Preparation for annual financial and retirement plan audits
- 1099 forms preparation
Successful candidates will:
- Have BA/BS in Accounting
- Be proficient in Enterprise Accounting Software (Blackbaud a plus), MS Office, Google Suite
- Be able to maintain administrative procedures and systems and design proper controls
- Have a demonstrated ability to work with discretion and maintain a high degree of confidentiality
- Be proficient with office equipment
- Be able to understand and implement principles and processes for providing high level of customer service
- Be able to produce a high quality work product, use effective time management skills to meet deadlines, and have attention to detail
