The Manager of Marketing & Communications is responsible for providing broad direction and management of the school’s comprehensive, integrated marketing program that supports the vision, mission, core values, and strategic goals of Saint Andrew’s Episcopal School. The program focuses on competitive positioning of the school in the marketplace through coordinated brand management, increased visibility and awareness, and enhancements in image and reputation.

 

The Manager is responsible for the website, social media platforms, and e-communications as well as the planning, design, content, production, and distribution of all print and electronic materials and media as they support the marketing communication needs of the school.

 

The Manager reports to the Director of Development.

 

Primary Responsibilities and duties include:

Oversee and manage the school’s brand, ensuring the visual identity and key messaging are consistent and of the highest quality.
Produce the school’s weekly newsletter content and other specific writing tasks and content.
Establish and maintain a relationship with the printer and handle all print jobs.
Maintain the school’s website including the calendar, all content and photographs.
Establish and maintain a relationship with the hosting provider of the website.
Taking photos and videos of events, activities around campus, as well as scheduling a professional photographer to take photos several times a year.
Set annual and long-term strategic goals, and manage an integrated marketing and communications approach for school-wide initiatives.
Collaborate with the admissions and development offices to ensure all marketing and communications materials reflect the school’s mission and story.
Capitalize on best uses of the website, digital technology, and social media.
Oversee the creative development and placement of general advertising in conjunction with the admissions office.
Initiate, oversee, and apply market research as appropriate.
Manage the marketing and advertising budgets.
Maintain and monitor the school-wide calendar of communications, and the efficiency, effectiveness, and impact of marketing initiatives.
Inform members of the faculty, staff, and board of trustees of all marketing initiatives.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with key external civic and business constituencies.
Engage in state, regional, and national activities relative to marketing, independent schools, and other professional priorities, keeping abreast of current trends and best practices.Attend meetings, on/off-campus events, and maintain interaction with the day-to-day life of the school.
Support and attend large school events such as Open Houses, Back to School Nights, The Spring Social and other events as assigned.
Manage any special projects, events and programs as needed.

Promote events and work with various school constituents to support communications around community events
