Website Town School for Boys
Town School for Boys, a K-8 Independent Day School located in San Francisco, is seeking applicants for a Family Leave Database Manager position to maintain and support the varied operations of the Advancement Office via accurate gift tracking, entry and analysis. The manager reports to the Director of Advancement and will assist with a variety of development initiatives including Annual Fund, database management, capital campaign support and donor stewardship, among other tasks. The role involves accurately entering gift information and generating financial reports on a regular basis.
Responsibilities and Duties Include:
- Maintain the school’s Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge database to ensure accurate, updated and relevant information
- Ensure accurate reporting of gift, fund and financial information to the Director of Advancement and other advancement stakeholders, including Trustees and the Head of School
- Analyze data and provide detailed fundraising reports
- Perform monthly reconciliations in partnership with the Business Office
- Participate in and support a range of school-related events (guest speakers, social occasions, donor recognition/stewardship events, trustee or alumni meetings) for school constituents
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree minimum, plus experience in database
- Comprehensive knowledge of Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge and RENXT, or similar CRM database, including proficiency in generating reports and queries
- Advanced skills in using Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong organizational skills and an ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment
- Initiative and independence in carrying out responsibilities
- Professional demeanor with excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage highly sensitive financial and other personal information with confidentiality

COVID Procedures
When schools were forced to close their physical doors in the spring of 2020, Town quickly and successfully pivoted to online learning, supported by thorough planning and a nimble team of faculty, administration and Board members. In the fall of 2020, Town was the second school in the city of San Francisco to be granted permission to reopen, taking exceptional caution to protect the safety of faculty and students. Since October 2020, we have welcomed all grades in the building five days a week. The 2022-2023 school year will be held in person, with our mask and social distancing protocols in place and following all SF Department of Health Guidelines. All adult employees of Town School for Boys are required to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
The Family Leave Database Manager position is a 4-month, full-time, non-exempt position with benefits, available for an August 2022 start. EOE. Competitive pay based on experience, skills and market.
