Director of Aftercare & Enrichment
Hours: 10-month, Part-time, 11:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Director of Aftercare & Enrichment is responsible for managing the after school program which includes both daycare and enrichment classes. The director is responsible for hiring and managing the after school staff and vendors, managing registration, and communicating with parents regarding students or the programs.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan engaging aftercare activities and projects
- Hire and schedule instructors for Enrichment classes and work with the Director of Communications to send out the class descriptions, schedule, and registration forms
- Supervise students as they participate in activities such as free play, climbing on the playground structure, basketball, etc.
- Monitor appropriate use and care of aftercare materials and replace materials as needed
- Order food and organize menus to provide a nourishing afterschool snack
- Engage appropriately with parents, including greeting upon arrival and communicating about students and the program
- Track student attendance and reconcile with the business office to ensure accurate billing
- Provide Lunch and Recess coverage for Pre-school-8th grade students
- Coordinate childcare for evening and/or weekend events, as needed
