The Preschool After School Program Assistant works with the Preschool After School Program Manager from 3:30-6:00 p.m. every day with children who stay after the end of the regularly scheduled school day. The position extends the rich and diverse program of the school day in a manner that is flexible and appropriately meets the needs of children at the end of the day.
Hours: 3:30 p.m. – 6 p.m., Monday through Friday (12.5 hours)
Duties and Responsibilities:
● Assist Preschool Afterschool Program Manager from 3:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
● Ensure accurate and timely end of day communication with parents, conveying information from classroom teachers.
● Support closing of the preschool at the end of the day; secure doors and windows, make sure classrooms used are ready for the cleaning crew.
Teachers at MP&MS have a deep understanding of early childhood development and education, engage in a caring, positive and professional manner with children, families, and colleagues, maintain high standards, and promote a love of learning.
Educational Requirements:
Early Childhood Education (ECE) units preferred, but not required.
Salary
$18-21/hour DOE
