STATUS: Exempt, Full time Father Sauer Academy Faculty member
REPORTS TO: Father Sauer Academy Principal – Ms. Theresa Bayze
HOURS: 7:45am- 4:00pm
Salary Range: $80,000 – $110,000 (Depending upon Experience)
Start Date: 8/1/2023

PRIMARY ROLE:
We are seeking to hire an educator with an unwavering commitment to raising student achievement, with the ability to work comfortably under pressure with diverse groups of learners while implementing culturally proficient teaching practices. The successful candidate will demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to teach other subject areas as needed in this growing middle school program.
Have strong instructional organization, proven classroom management skills, and willingness to engage with students who are new to a rigorous schedule
Have experience with effective use of educational technology while maintaining a classroom atmosphere centered on intellectual inquiry and student engagement
Demonstrate ability to work in a collaborative and dynamic professional learning community
Have awareness and training in DEIB practices
Able to recognize the impact of student experiences and how they can affect learning and engagement
Foster classroom community through inclusionary, compassionate, and restorative practices
Communicate with parents of students both formally (through progress reports, report cards,and conferences) and informally (through emails and phone calls as needed).
A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:
Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree;
California Teaching Credential or Masters Degree in English Language Arts, Education, History or Science;
Minimum two years of middle school teaching experience in underserved communities in your area of expertise;
Appreciates and respects Catholic, Jesuit culture, identity and values;
Understand and support the Mission, Vision and Culture of the school
