The Carey School, a Preschool to 5th grade independent school in San Mateo, California seeks an experienced educator for a lower elementary homeroom position for the 2023-2024 school year. Candidates must have a minimum of three years of classroom teaching experience. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated collaboration with colleagues including, grade level partners and assistant teachers. Candidates will also need to work closely with content specialist teachers and will have experience integrating content areas across class and content areas. In addition, the candidate will have a proven record in teaching both language arts and mathematics, utilizing differentiated instruction to meet the needs of all students. Candidates will have experience with the science of teaching reading and providing research based curricula to students. Knowledge of elementary developmental stages, in general, required.

The anticipated salary range the school reasonably expects to pay candidates for this position is $65K – $125K, depending on factors such as experience or education.
