SPANISH TEACHER
Starts August 7, 2023, Full-time and Benefits
Full time salary range – depending upon experience and education – is $60,500 – $136,900.

inquiry-based classroom teacher
innovator in a 1:1 iPad learning environment
culturally competent, engaged community member
excellent communicator and collaborator
compassionate guide for the Middle School and Upper Elementary years
expertise in setting students up for success as Spanish speakers in High School and beyond
stand-up comedian…or at least has a good sense of humor
The Work
Teach three sections of Middle School Spanish (Grades 6-8) and one section of Upper Elementary Spanish
Foster a love and joy for the Spanish language and world language studies
Collaborate with department colleagues to design and implement courses
Implement World Readiness Standards by ACTFL for Language Learning
Cultivate students’ sound skills (speaking, listening, pronunciation) and work habits
Integrate technology into teaching and learning
Design innovative electives, clubs, and thematic-based learning opportunities to deepen understanding of Spanish-speaking cultures
Employ strategies to address different learners
Advise 12 Middle School students
Partner with parents and guardians
Participate in outdoor/travel overnight education trips and relevant cultural field trips
