Sacramento Country Day School, the regional leader in PK-12th grade independent school education since 1964, seeks a Lower School Physical Education Teacher to add to our excellent faculty.
This is a full-time position with benefits, beginning August 16, 2023. The salary range is $50,000-90,000 depending on education and years of experience. Country Day School embraces the ideals of a liberal arts education. · We are seeking an overtly warm and supportive teacher who is:
· an expert at building a classroom community
· skilled in developing and teaching PE curriculum
· experienced at showcasing students’ PE work.
· a great collaborator who works with teachers to integrate their subjects into PE
· engages with parents as partners in their children’s growth and development
· has a sense of humor, who enjoys working with colleagues and is a team player
· can meet the needs of a wide range of learners, and is able to integrate social emotional learning into the curriculum. Responsive Classroom training is a plus.

Requirements
Bachelor’s of Science degree in Kinesiology or Physical Education, Master’s Preferred
Two to three years of PE teaching experience, preferably at the lower school level, higher grades experience a plus.
Single subject teaching credential preferred (CCTC approved program)
Program work with George Graham, Holt, Hale, Parker, Robert Pangrazi
School requirements: background check, First Aid/CPR trained (school sponsored), negative TB result.
