San Francisco University High School wishes to announce an opening for a music instructor. The primary responsibilities will include teaching and conducting student performers in our vocal classes and groups. Additional roles may include teaching music theory, coaching small-group music projects teams, and possibly lead classes in songwriting and serve as Music Director for our Spring Musical.
A strong candidate should be an expert in vocal techniques, be an able accompanist, be proficient with the phonetic alphabet, have experience and skill with arranging music, can program a variety of choral works from the traditional choral canon through new/modern choral repertoire, and who maintains an active professional life in their musical community. We are seeking someone who enjoys collaboration and who will be an eager partner in shaping the direction of this evolving program.

SALARY
Salary is based on years of relevant experience. The instructor salary range for the 2022-23 runs from $76,331 (step 1) to $145,180 (step 38).
