Office and Health Coordinator

Full Time, On Site

Reports to: Office Manager

Salary Range: $60,000-$75,000

Overview of school: 

Seven Hills School, founded in 1962, offers an outstanding PS-8th grade program for approximately 420 students. The beautiful campus is located on nine acres of former ranch land near Heather Farm Park in Walnut Creek, CA (approximately 35 miles from downtown San Francisco), and offers students and teachers the daily opportunity to move freely from engaging classrooms to expanses of outdoor space. Overview of duties and responsibilities:

  • Answer phones and provide general assistance to students, parents, teachers, staff, and visitors.  Address general phone issues as needed.  Handle the school speaker system at Front Desk.
  • Keep attendance records for K – 8th including tardy passes, daily attendance reports, early dismissals for students.
  • Administer student first aid and help when students are sick. Send grade level and school wide health notifications as required by Contra Costa Health Services.
  • Serve as a member of the Safety & Security Committee that organizes and supports safety responses and procedures. Create and schedule drills and maintain all drill-related records. Manage two-way radios for all faculty and staff.
  • Maintain student records and registration paperwork including student immunization records, early childhood education files, and transcripts for incoming and outgoing K-7th grade students.
  • Manage office mail, packages, and supplies. Order supplies as needed.
  • Troubleshoot workroom machines and coordinate service and repairs.
  • Work closely with maintenance and facilities for urgent and non-urgent needs and updates.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Office Manager

 

Successful candidates will have:

  • Familiarity/experience working in an office setting
  • Experience with school-based systems such as Education Edge
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with many interruptions
  • Critical thinking skills and the ability to make thoughtful, sometimes quick decisions
  • Flexible, responsible, resourceful with effective time-management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple projects
  • Experience working with children ages 3-13
  • Medical training including first aid and cpr with health, nursing, or EMT experience a plus
