Salary Range: $55,000-$75,000

The Seven Hills School, founded in 1962, offers an outstanding PS-8th grade program for approximately 420 students. The beautiful campus is located on nine acres of former ranch land near Heather Farm Park in Walnut Creek, CA (approximately 35 miles from downtown San Francisco), and offers students and teachers the daily opportunity to move freely from engaging classrooms to expanses of outdoor space. Overview of the position:

The Technology Team at Seven Hills supports both the academic and administrative functions of the School. The core philosophy of the Technology Team is Tech CARES: Connect, Advance, Respond, Educate, and Secure. The Technology Support Specialist (TSS) provides first contact support to students, faculty, and staff. The ideal candidate has a strong grasp of IT fundamentals, possesses fantastic troubleshooting skills, and always leaves members of our community feeling supported with their technology needs.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first responder for technical support for the entire school community
  • Identify and research problems; document, track, and monitor the issue to ensure an accurate and timely resolution
  • Support and maintain software applications, hardware, and equipment
  • Track inventory of technology resources and distribute/collect equipment as needed
  • Support employee and student onboarding and offboarding, including technology orientations
  • Assist with user account management and access in Google, Microsoft, Adobe, and other systems
  • Provide step-by-step training as needed for hardware/software through in-person sessions as well as “how-to” documentation
  • Responsible for tech setups for meetings/events as well as other audio-visual requests
  • Support the technology team with all other functions including, but not limited to data management, security, etc.

  • Have an understanding of how to troubleshoot common technology issues
  • Be experienced with or open to learning to support multiple users on various platforms (iPad, Mac, Windows, etc.)
  • Be experienced with or open to learning Google Apps, Microsoft Office/365,
  • Adobe products, and other software systems
  • Be able to work in various positions, including at a desk for extended periods, walking the campus, and lifting up to 50 lbs
