Upper School Division – Dean / Full-Time / On-Site
Dean of the Class of 2028

Head-Royce School is seeking a class dean for the Class of 2028. That person will be both teacher and dean for a 1.0 FTE.

Deans teach two courses when their class begins 9th grade and three courses in subsequent years. The class dean reports to the US Assistant Head. We will consider dean applicants with experience in a variety of academic disciplines.

Head-Royce’s class deans are responsible for the academic and personal growth of approximately 115 students beginning in 9th grade. The dean moves up with the class, shepherding them through their four years in Head-Royce’s Upper School. The goal is for the dean to serve in this capacity for four years. While a second four-year cycle may be possible, that will depend on conversations with the school. No dean will serve for more than two cycles.
