The Carey School
The Carey School, a Preschool to 5th grade independent school in San Mateo, California seeks an experienced education to teach K-3rd grade Mandarin for the 2024-2025 school year in a hands-on, active learning environment. This is the first year that Carey will offering Mandarin to students. As a member of the world language team, and a member of the faculty, the ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience collaborating with colleagues, designing inquiry-based curriculum and integrating content across class and content areas. In addition to a command of the Mandarin language and curriculum and curriculum at K-3 grade levels, candidates must have a strong understanding of children’s developmental level and practice utilizing differentiated instruction strategies to meet the needs of all learners. This is a full-time position working August – June paid over 12 months. The anticipated salary range the school reasonably expects to pay candidates for this position is $70K – $125K, depending on factors such as experience or education.
