Position Overview
The Maintenance Associate plays an essential role in the general upkeep and maintenance of Woodland’s campus. Duties include physical activity that focuses on landscaping and gardening tasks in addition to general repairs, event setup and tear down, and traffic management. This role works under the direction of the Director of Facilities.

Located just west of Stanford University, Woodland is an independent day school that offers a joyful approach to learning in a diverse, respectful, and inclusive environment for approximately 305 students in early childhood through eighth grade. We have two sections of each grade level K- 8 with class sizes that average from 14-18 per class.

Position Specifics
The Maintenance Associate receives day-to-day direction from the Director of Facilities and is expected to perform the following duties as outlined below:
- Assist team members with daily maintenance functions as needed and directed by the Director of Facilities.
- Support traffic management and parking during morning dropoff, afternoon pickup, and events.
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance as authorized by the Director of Facilities..
- Complete landscaping duties which include trimming, blowing leaves, leaf pickup, planting, irrigation repair, and general outdoor maintenance.
- Complete gardening work which includes pruning, mowing, edging, trimming, and watering.
- Pick up litter within the school and on school grounds.
- Adhere to safety measures for cleaning, lifting, moving, and operating equipment.
- Advise Director of Facilities on matters relating to mechanical equipment and/or building maintenance.
- Perform painting to walls, rails, playgrounds and other areas of the school.
- Maintain all equipment in a good state of repair and cleanliness.
- Assist with event set-up and tear down.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)
- Minimum of 3 years maintenance experience desired.
- Work in a school setting is preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Successful passing of LiveScan Security background check.

Salary
The salary range for this position is $30-$40/hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
