Job Title: Director of Strategic Enrollment Management (Start date July 1st, 2025)

The Director of Strategic Enrollment Management is a strategic thought partner to school leadership, leading and assuming responsibility for developing, implementing, and assessing the School’s efforts to recruit, admit, enroll, and retain a mission-appropriate student body. The Director is responsible for developing strategic plans that will distinguish EBI as the independent school of choice for prospective students and their families in this highly competitive market Through a partnership with the Director of Advancement and other senior administrators, the Director ensures that the school’s short-and long-term enrollment management goals are met.
Specific Responsibilities
● Develop a short- and long-term strategy to implement the goals of the school’s strategic plan and promote the school by attracting and retaining the most qualified, mission-appropriate students from local, regional, national, and international markets.
Provides regular reports and planning documents to the senior leadership team, the Board on the results of Admissions activity.
Develop annual admissions and enrollment action plans with measurable goals and objectives.
● Coordinate with the DFO, Director of Advancement, and Head of School the strategic use, marketing, and deployment of financial aid within our Tuition Assistance model to ensure enrollment of the most diverse, talented, and mission-appropriate group of students possible
● Generate and maintain data models and statistical information regarding the School’s enrollment trends and utilize them in decision-making about enrollment strategy, resource use, and planning efforts
● Provide clear vision and entrepreneurially-minded strategic direction for the admissions and enrollment management process and team, driven by shared school goals created with the Director of Advancement.
● Manage the admissions process and perform typical admissions tasks, including but not limited to interviewing and assessing applicants and their families, facilitating open houses and revisit days, and serving as an ambassador for the school to external constituencies
● Collaborate with the Director of Marketing and Communications and the Director of Advancement to ensure consistent, relevant, and current yet targeted messaging of the School across constituencies and in service of its strategic enrollment goals using print, digital, social media, and web-based materials and strategies
● Work in collaboration with functions within the Business Office and Advancement Office to achieve institutional goals, specifically those related to budgeted enrollment, financial aid allocation, communications strategies, and retention
● Maintain and strengthen close relationships with feeder schools, including regular visits with relevant administrators and placement counselors
● Remain current with admission trends among peer schools, locally and nationally; participate in external admission organizations and conferences in order to achieve this objective
● Assist the Board of Trustees with enrollment and admissions matters as needed, including preparing reports related to budget-setting, setting enrollment expectations for the subsequent school year, and attending periodic board meetings
● Partner with Division Directors, Head of School, and Advancement Office regarding visits and admissions events to ensure the best possible connection of prospective students and parents with these constituencies as appropriate
●Serve as a role model for students and staff by demonstrating a positive attitude, solution orientation and effective work ethic.
●Represents EBI at different external organizations and associations.
●Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of School
Job Requirements
● Strong admissions and enrollment management experience, including significant leadership responsibilities, at either an independent school, college, or university
● Demonstrated proficiency with data collection and analysis and its utility in influencing policy and enrollment management strategy
● Understanding of market trends,
● Record of engaging all community constituencies in the admission process
● Record of establishing close working relationships with colleagues, students, parents, and trustees
● Superb oral, written, and public relations skills
Qualification Requirements:
●A demonstrated commitment to the school’s mission and values.
●Bilingual English/Spanish required
●A bachelor’s degree and five years of progressively responsible admission management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
●Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
●Demonstrated analytical, strategic, and problem-solving ability.
●Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
●Ability to motivate and manage a large parent and student volunteer base.
●Experience and success recruiting students and families from diverse, under-represented communities.
●Proficient with Google Drive and FACTS or a similar student information database/system.
●Personal qualities of integrity, resilience, approachability, kindness, and humor.
EBI uses a salary scale that is based on education and years of experience and ranges from $120,000 to $150,000
