“A Grand Love: Stories for Grandparents of Transgender Grandchildren” Book Talk/Launch with Author Janna Barkin

Janna will be sharing insights from her latest book, *A Grand Love*, which focuses on intergenerational healing and connection within families with transgender loved ones.

About the Author
Janna Barkin is an accomplished author and a passionate advocate for transgender youth and families. Her personal journey as the parent of a transgender boy has shaped her writing and advocacy work. In A Grand Love, she provides a heartfelt guide for grandparents, offering support and wisdom to help navigate the journey of loving and understanding their transgender grandchildren.

About the Book
Being a grandparent to a transgender child can feel isolating, especially with generational differences that may make understanding and communication challenging. *A Grand Love* offers a blend of up-to-date research on gender identity, touching letters and stories from grandparents on similar journeys, and valuable resources for transgender youth and their families. The book also includes a list of online and local support groups. Most importantly, it emphasizes how love, understanding, and acceptance from grandparents can make a profound difference in the lives of their trans grandchildren.

This evening will be an opportunity to learn more about how we can deepen love and connection within our families and community, especially for our beloved transgender members. We hope to you there!
