JOB SUMMARY
Crystal seeks a regular part-time exempt (.50 FTE, 10-month faculty) Middle/Upper School Mind Body Teacher starting August 2024. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of physical education teaching experience in a school setting or a related capacity. The Middle/Upper School Mind Body Teacher is responsible for teaching health, wellness, and fitness-related concepts to grades 6th-11.

Qualifications
Essential Functions
Design inclusive lesson plans that cater to diverse skill levels, abilities, and interests of students in grades 6 through 8
Ability to instruct activities that include but are not limited to lifetime fitness activities and sports
Teach students concepts that align with the Mind Body Program
Provide appropriate biomechanical instruction
Ability to manage large groups of students
Motivate and inspire students to adhere to activities that enhance life-long fitness/wellness
Assess students to evaluate their abilities, strengths, and weaknesses
Write quarterly comments
Education, Certifications, and Work-Related Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology or related field
CPR/AED certification
At least two years of health and wellness (physical education) teaching experience working in a school setting or a related capacity
Preferences
Experience working with students in the secondary setting
Operational knowledge of web-related technologies
Operational knowledge of Google applications and Gmail
Operational knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
Able to demonstrate movement patterns and activities taught
Able to bend, lift, and move freely
Able to lift up to 50 pounds
Able to climb stairs
Ability to multitask and manage large groups of students in a fast-paced environment
Travel Required
Regular travel between the Middle School and Upper School campuses, as needed

Salary and Benefits
This is a regular exempt part-time .50 FTE (20 hours/week), benefits-eligible, 10-month faculty position, and the annual salary is commensurate with experience within the range of $35,000 – $75,000.
The recruitment period will remain open until sufficient resumes have been received and may close at any time a sufficient pool of highly qualified candidates has been established. First consideration will be given to individuals who apply between May 16, 2024, through May 31, 2024. Second consideration will be given to individuals who apply between May 31, 2024, through June 14, 2024. The ideal start date for this position is August 2024.
