Assistant Head of School for Academics

Escuela Bilingüe Internacional (EBI), a PK-8 independent, bilingual and IB World School with two campuses in Oakland and Emeryville, CA seeks an experienced, dynamic and innovative leader to serve as the Assistant Head of School for Academics beginning July 1, 2022.

EBI is a school that holds a unique place in the world of private, independent, international, and IB schools. EBI is the only Spanish-English bilingual, IB independent school in Northern California. The Assistant Head of School for Academics will work closely with the Head of School as a thought partner and strategist to support 408 students and over 50 teaching faculty members, serves as a member of the senior leadership team, leads the pedagogical leadership team and teaching and learning and student success departments, as well as reports to the Head of School. Together with the EBI pedagogical, student success and community programs teams, the Assistant Head is responsible for implementing the Vision for 21st-Century Whole Child Education and PK-8 IB academic programming, innovation, and professional development to ensure student learning success and continued growth.
