When:
Mount Tamalpais School seeks a full-time Grade 2 Homeroom and Humanities parental leave teacher from March to June 2024.
Position Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have teaching experience and a B.A./B.S. in a relevant field. A successful candidate in this position will:
-Collaborate with the Grade 2 teaching team
-Serve as a Grade 2 Homeroom teacher who is committed to the social and emotional development of students
-Exhibit a passion for Grade 2 Humanities (phonics, reading, writing, social studies) content knowledge and a range of effective pedagogical approaches, and a sincere appreciation for the Grades 2 age group.
-Demonstrate commitment to equitable and culturally responsive teaching practices
-Cultivate an inclusive, collaborative, and challenging learning environment that reflects the MTS values and allows a diverse student body to grow and thrive
-Integrate technology in effective ways that enhances students’ learning experiences and growth
-Show initiative in seeking out opportunities for professional growth, leadership, and community building
-Communicate with families regularly through school platforms and email.
-Lead/Support grade-level events such as conferences, field trips, and arts performances, subject-area celebrations
Salary:
$27,000-$38,000
