Position Title: Co-Director of Robotics (Part-Time)
Classification: Exempt
Reports to: Vice Principal of Equity, Inclusion & Belonging
Pay Range: $35,000-$50,000
Hours: Primarily after school/early evenings (incl. some weekends)

Position Summary
Presentation High School in San Jose, California is seeking a part-time Director of Robotics to oversee and lead our robotics program.
Education & Experience
B.A. degree
Experience working with middle or high school students
Experience with project based learning and/or FIRST robotics (FRC) preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Familiarity with programming a FIRST robot and/or computer programming or a willingness to learn.
Fabrication skills (machining, laser cutting, 3D printing, etc.) or a willingness to learn.
Strong, proven teaching ability and passion for design thinking and innovation.
Experience in Mechanical Design and/or CAD preferred
Excellent organization, verbal and written skills, as well as outstanding interpersonal skills.
Available and willing to work occasional co-curricular events, including overnight field trips.

Duties and Specific Responsibilities
Model for students the mission and values of Presentation High School
Serve as the lead point-of-contact for Presentation robotics
Inspire students to create and experiment
Instruct students on the design and creation of a robot, including the fabrication of the parts needed for the robot.
Monitor the lab to ensure student safety and emotional well-being
Collaborate with mentors to train students on relevant skills needed
Facilitate purchasing of robotics supplies and maintenance of tools
Coordinate team registration and travel plans for robotics competitions
Exercise professionalism at all times with students, parents, and colleagues
Other duties as assigned
