Title: Assistant Director of 9-12 Admissions

Department: Admissions

Responsible to: Director of Admissions & Academic Guidance

Classification: Exempt

Purpose: The primary purpose of this role is to be responsible for carrying out specific admissions objectives, procedures and programs.

Responsibilities:

Support the initiatives and goals of the admissions team and Director of Admissions & Academic Guidance in student recruitment and enrollment for grades 9-12
Demonstrate to prospective families a knowledgeable and well articulated message of the schools’ programs and brand.
Communicate directly with prospective students and families with great attention to phone and email requests for admissions information and questions about the schools’ programs and especially the admissions process
Collaborate with the Director of Admissions & Academic Guidance and the database coordinator on the maintenance of the inquiry/applicant database; manually enter prospective students from school fairs, webinars, school visits and any other admissions events to build a robust applicant pool
Organize, schedule and confirm student visits; greet shadows with the 9-12 admissions team and coordinate follow-up with prospective students after student visits
Assist the 9-12 admissions team in managing student ambassadors for the shadow program and admissions events
Represent Convent & Stuart Hall High Schools at various admissions events including, but not limited to: high school fairs, middle school visits, Information Nights, Athletics Open House, Curriculum Night, Evening School/Open House, Admissions evening socials, Admissions Coffee Series, Admissions Tours, and admissions yield events.
Organize and assist with coordination of faculty in support of admissions interview day, including interviewing prospective students
Support and coordinate admissions testing, if necessary, for prospective high school students
Review and evaluate applications; participate on review and admissions decision making committee
Organize and distribute all admissions mailings, both printed and electronic
Assist admissions office to develop and execute social media plan and marketing strategy.
Meet weekly with Director of Admissions & Academic Guidance and 9-12 admissions team
As a member of the schools’ staff, pursue opportunities to engage in the high school community by attending student assemblies, in-service days and participating in additional events.
Plan and execute the onboarding process for incoming families
Participate in on-going professional development via national and local conferences
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Admissions & Academic Guidance

Qualifications:

Requires a BA/BS degree.

Requires previous admissions experience or related field

Excellent written communication and presentation skills

Highly proficient with database systems, enrollment systemsMust be detail-oriented, organized and willing to take initiative.

Must have excellent teamwork skills.

Requires the ability to work well with 9-12 students and with adult colleagues.

Must be a role model in embracing and living out the Schools’ mission, goals and criteria; willingness to be an active, enthusiastic member of the community.

Experience with independent schools is preferred.

Bilingual abilities are preferred

Pay Period:

July 1 through June 30

Service Period:

July 1 through June 30.  This is a 11-month position

Physical Requirements:

Regularly lifting or carrying 1-20 lbs.

Regular pushing/pulling/bending/stooping/kneeling

Regularly climbing stairs**

Regularly sitting or standing 4-8 hours

Requires physical presence, work to be performed on campus**

Ability to travel 1-2 times per year.

Ability to work evenings and weekends.
