Foster a child-centered, play-based learning environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and critical thinking.
Promote social-emotional learning through building strong relationships with children, guiding positive behavior, and teaching emotional regulation and conflict resolution.
Observe and assess children’s progress and document individual growth, providing feedback to parents/guardians and making recommendations for further development.
Work collaboratively with the teaching team to create a harmonious, inclusive classroom environment that celebrates diversity.
Engage in ongoing professional development to remain current with best practices in early childhood education and progressive teaching methodologies.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times, following all school policies and state regulations.
Develop and maintain strong partnerships with parents and guardians, encouraging open communication and supporting family involvement in the educational process.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (or in progress).
Certification in early childhood education (if applicable in your area).
Previous experience working with preschool-age children (preferred but not required).
A deep understanding of and passion for progressive, child-centered education.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
Creative, flexible, and patient, with the ability to adapt to the diverse needs of young children.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to a positive, supportive school culture.
CPR and First Aid certification (or willing to obtain upon hire).
Preferred Skills and Attributes:

Familiarity with progressive educational approaches such as Montessori, Reggio Emilia, or Waldorf.
Experience with project-based learning, inquiry-based activities, and integrated curriculum.
Knowledge of inclusive practices and the ability to differentiate instruction for children with varying needs.
