Job Summary:
The Academic Data Manager will serve as custodian of student information and records performing tasks associated with the collection, maintenance, archiving, and release of student data and act as liaison with other offices including, but not limited to, Academics, Admissions, High School Transition and Advancement.
Reporting to the Director of Technology, the Academic Data Manager is responsible for a wide range of school-office functions including:
Responsibilities:
Serving as a main point of contact for the School’s central database, Veracross, and as such, assist in support for student scheduling, internal reporting, parent inquiries, and institutional research needs;
Managing student records for accuracy and completeness including the data entry and publishing process of all school academic documents including support of faculty in progress reports, and standardized testing;
Assist with the enrollment, withdrawals, and transfer of students and process applicable records;
Coordinate key aspects of field trips including first aid bags, rosters, field trip drivers, and ensuring compliance with SFFS policies;
Assist nurse with student medical record tracking and reporting, emergency preparedness coordination;
Building and maintaining all divisional academic schedules including creation of courses and setup and management of the course request and parent-teacher conference systems;
Propose and implement change in order to improve accuracy and efficiency of school data and processes.
Administrative Support
Coordinate with Development and Communications on summer mailings and other all school communications throughout the year;
Assist with special projects & events as needed;
Perform other duties as assigned — this may include organizing school resources, front desk coverage, assistance with all-school mailings, carpool, recess and duty coverage, etc.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with 2 or more years relevant administrative experience;
Strong organization skills, including extraordinary attention to detail, and facility with technology;
Ability to multi-task across multiple projects and manage shifting priorities to meet all deadlines;
Excellent interpersonal skills including patience, discretion, a sense of humor, and good judgment;
Excellent communication and follow-through skills;
Personable, flexible and adaptable; a learner, who is a motivated, and collaborative team player;
Ability to work independently and as a collaborative team member;
Flexibility to work occasional evenings/weekends/overtime during busy times.
Preferred Qualities:
Spanish speaker;
Experience with Veracross, Google Suite (mail, calendar, docs, etc.), and working with databases.
