STATUS:  EXEMPT, FULL TIME / BENEFITED

SALARY RANGE: $84,614 – $119,000

PRIMARY ROLE:

Teach 5/5 SECTIONS OF LATIN ON CAMPUS NOT-REMOTE

A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE IN THIS POSITION WILL BE ABLE TO DEMONSTRATE:

A clear commitment to the mission of the school which emphasizes teaching the whole student by contributing to campus ministry and co-curricular activities
Desire to work in a collaborative, dynamic, and faithful learning community to develop curricula, lessons, and assessments
Strong teaching ability; enjoys working with adolescents
Have experience with effective use of educational technology while maintaining a classroom atmosphere centered on intellectual inquiry and student engagement
Demonstrate ability to work in a collaborative and dynamic professional learning community
A commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging
Exemplary oral and written skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills
Evident passion for the academic subject matter being taught
Willingness to adapt to an existing curriculum as well as contribute ideas to enhance the respective academic programs
An openness to feedback and professional growth, modeling lifelong learning of practice as well as subject area
Excellent attendance and punctuality
Mastery in area of study and ability to teach across grade levels
Bachelor’s Degree in Latin or Classical Studies or comparable area; Advanced degrees encouraged. Preferred Teaching Credential.
Openness to participating in the JCL, Certamen and other Latin cultural events.
Successful teaching experience in secondary school and/or university
Flexibility and creativity in working in a dynamic environment where new ideas, mistakes, and iteration are embraced.
An openness to feedback and improvement, modeling lifelong learning of practice as well as subject area.
