St. Paul’s Episcopal School, located across from Lake Merritt in Oakland, enrolls approximately 370 students from diverse backgrounds in Kindergarten – Grade 8. Position Summary
The Annual Fund Manager is an essential member of the Development and Communications department, managing and implementing the Annual Fund Campaign and supporting donor cultivation and stewardship activities. The ideal candidate for this role will have a background in annual fundraising programs and event coordination, and will possess strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.

Job Responsibilities
-Manage a robust Annual Fund Campaign, establishing and maintaining systems for cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors across all constituent groups.
-Produce written communication in support of fundraising campaigns including: solicitation messaging, acknowledgement letters, and cases for support.
-Lead class fundraising campaigns: recruit and train volunteers, provide customized solicitation materials and content, design and maintain a schedule of activities to inspire engagement and philanthropy amongst parent donors.
-Oversee the donor database in collaboration with the Development Associate, ensuring that records are appropriately maintained; develop reports for tracking progress toward fundraising goals.
-Serve as staff lead on Grandparents and Special Friends Day, parent coffees, and alumni reunions; partner with Parent Association leads on community events and parent education forums, providing staff support as-needed.
-Provide staff support for the annual fundraising auction, OakTown; collaborate with OakTown volunteer leadership, attending regular planning sessions, coordinating the solicitations process, and facilitating event marketing and promotion.
-Project management of web and print collateral in support of Development activities, including the Annual Report and Summer Spark.
-Assist with student oversight and school operational duties as-needed.

Minimum Qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years related experience
-Working knowledge of annual fundraising programs in an independent school environment; familiarity with major donor programs preferred
-Superior written and verbal communication skills
-Extensive experience with event coordination and execution
-Demonstrated ability to interface and partner with donors and high-level volunteers
-Excellent database skills; working knowledge of Raiser’s Edge preferred
-A collaborative and transparent work style; ability to serve as a core member of a small team
-Highly organized and detail-oriented
