JOB ANNOUNCEMENT: Junior Varsity Head Coach Girls Tennis
DURATION: August 7th 2024 – October 25th 2024
REPORTS TO: Director of Athletics
COMPENSATION: $4,500 estimated stipend depending on experience

Job Description
The Junior Varsity Head Coach’s role is to plan and lead 1 ½ afternoon practices Mon-Fri, beginning no earlier than 3:00 p.m. and ending no later than 5:30 pm; and attend and coach in matches. Practices take place in the Presidio as do home matches – away matches take place a short drive from The Bay School. Through the daily challenges of practices and competitions, the Junior Varsity Head Coach, Girls Tennis aims to teach knowledge of and skill in tennis while also cultivating leadership, teamwork and life skills.
Job Requirements
● Previous coaching at the high school and/or college level required. Experience playing at the college level or above is preferred;
● Attend all practices and matches. Matches may require being available earlier than 3:00 p.m;
● Attend occasional athletic department meetings and school events as needed;
● Possess a valid CA driver’s license and be willing to drive a school van to/from practices and games strongly preferred;
● Have or able to obtain NFHS coach certification
● Job offers are contingent upon clear LiveScan fingerprinting and TB risk assessment. Other requirements include completing first aid/CPR training, mandated reporter training, anti-harassment training, and bloodborne pathogen prevention training. Access to these mandatory trainings are provided and paid for by the school.
