The Carey School
The Carey School, a Preschool to 5th grade independent school in San Mateo, California seeks an experienced educator for an upper grade lead homeroom teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated collaboration with colleagues including grade level partners and assistant teachers. Candidates will also need to work closely with content specialist teachers and will have experience integrating content areas across class and content areas. In addition, the candidate will have a proven record in teaching both language arts and mathematics, utilizing differentiated instruction to meet the needs of all students. Knowledge of elementary developmental stages in general, and upper elementary specifically, required. Candidates with prior teaching experience preferred. This is a full-time position working August – June paid over 12 months. The anticipated salary range the school reasonably expects to pay candidates for this position is $70K – $125K, depending on factors such as experience or education.
