K-2 Spanish Teacher

The Carey School, a Preschool to 5th grade independent school in San Mateo, California seeks an experienced educator to teach K-2nd grade Spanish for the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year in a hands-on, active learning environment. As a member of the world language team, as well as the K-2nd grade team, the ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience collaborating with colleagues, designing inquiry-based curriculum and integrating content areas across class and content areas. In addition to a command of the Spanish language and curriculum and curriculum at the K-2 grade level, candidates must have a strong understanding of children’s developmental level and practice utilizing differentiated instruction strategies to meet the needs of all learners. This is a full-time temporary exempt 10-month position for the 2024-2025 school year. This position is open for immediate hire with an expected end date of June 6, 2025, with the possibility of an extension to the 2025-26 school year. The anticipated salary range the school reasonably expects to pay candidates for this position is $75K – $105K, depending on factors such as experience or education.
