Urban School of San Francisco seeks a part-time Associate Director of Learning Strategies with an Education Specialist or Educational Therapy credential and/or a graduate degree in education. The school is looking for a collaborative, proactive educator who genuinely enjoys working with adolescents and has a commitment to equity pedagogy. Candidates should have experience working with neurodiverse teenagers and developing individualized learning plans based on psychoeducational evaluations. Ideal candidates would have classroom teaching experience and facility with technology-based learning strategies. Candidates without a graduate degree/credential will be considered if they have extensive classroom teaching experience.
Urban School’s Learning Strategies department supports all students in gaining a better understanding of how they learn and utilizing learning strategies to maximize their growth. Our goal is to empower students to effectively advocate for themselves in a variety of contexts at Urban and beyond. Emphasis is placed on collaborating with students to develop Learning Plans with strengths-based strategies that address their challenges and the requirements of Urban’s curriculum.
