I am pursuing teaching because I enjoy the process of learning. As a teacher you get to share the wealth of knowledge you have accumulated over time, while also learning new information everyday; additionally, you learn better ways to convey this information and help others establish their own understanding. I especially enjoy the field of science because it encourages students to consider the world around them, process new information and draw their own conclusions. I believe that an educated population is a healthy and functioning population.
