Site Director
Caritas Creek at CYO Camp – Occidental, CA February 2016 to June 2018
As a Site Director I acted as liaison between schools and the Caritas program. I would be the teacher’s concat, create hiking, meal, and cabin groups. Conduct a pre camp visit where the goal was to prepare the students for their visit to Caritas Creek. I would felicitate trust build activities int he classroom, instill parts of camp culture, and start forming relationships with both the students and the teachers. When the class or classes depending on the week, it was my responsibility to prepare the Teacher Naturalists, facilitate large group activities, tone set and debrief each day, solve any disciplinary issue that came to light, and fill in for a Naturalist if called for me to do so.
